Please note:

We are pleased to announce that Diaphonique now accepts applications from individual artists and composers – a new development designed to make the programme even more accessible. While individuals cannot apply entirely independently, they will be represented by one of our partner organisations, who will handle the legal and administrative aspects on their behalf. If you are an artist or composer interested in applying through this route, simply get in touch and we will guide you through the process. It is straightforward, and we are here to support you at every step.

Diaphonique funds collaborative projects in contemporary classical music that involve at least two of the three countries: France, the United Kingdom and Ireland.

We support:

-Projects built around a genuine collaboration, not just the programming of existing works

-Works composed within the last 30 years, with priority given to premieres and new commissions

-Professional artists and organisations (e.g. ensembles, festivals, venues, research studios, conservatoires)

What we support

Diaphonique funds collaborative projects in contemporary classical music that involve at least two of the three countries: France, the United Kingdom and Ireland.

We support:

  • Involve shared artistic, logistical and financial responsibility across all partners

  • Include performances, residencies or workshops held in front of audiences in at least two countries (France with Great-Britain and/or Ireland).

  • Take place within 12 to 18 months of the call for projects launch

Diaphonique does not support:

  • Core organisational costs

  • CD recordings or commercial releases

  • Ongoing projects (activities must begin after the committee meeting)

If your project aligns with these principles, we’d love to hear from you.
