Owen Ho is a prizewinning composer based in London. He has won awards in the AESS Song Writing Competition, the Arcubus Ensemble Call for Scores, and the Hong Kong International Composition Competition for Chromatic Harmonica. He also received honourable mention in the IOCSF Choral Composition Competition and was a finalist in the Hendrix College Candlelight Carol Competition. His interest lies in the intersection between music and romantic aesthetic. This forms part of his current doctoral research at Guildhall School of Music and Drama. His oeuvre includes works for orchestra, chamber ensemble, choir, voice, solo instrument, dance, film, and electroacoustic music.
In March 2023, Owen was selected for the ISCM British Section’s shortlist of composers submitted to the ISCM World New Music Days Festival in South Africa. Find out more here.
