I am a composer of music that goes to any length to seize listener attention. I obtained my MMus in Composition with distinction from Goldsmiths, University of London in 2020, where my interest in form and quest for total self-sufficiency combined to create a musical style that obsesses over drama, concision, and formal cohesiveness. A programme of piano compositions is in the works which I will perform and record myself.
In April 2022 Luke received one of Sound and Music’s Covid-19 Composer Awards:
“I’m very excited about the music I’m working at the moment and this funding will help me reach the point at which I am able to share it with listeners a lot sooner. The money will fund equipment purchases and recording sessions, and I can now turn all of my attention to the music itself. Thank you, Sound and Music.”
