Sonic Spheres transforms Woolwich Works into a living, resonant environment where multiple spherical loudspeaker arrays animate the space with fully immersive 3D sound.

Audiences are invited into an extraordinary encounter with sound in space – a world where listening becomes physical, spatial, and deeply embodied – inviting audiences to listen in entirely new ways.

At the heart of the programme are a series of world premieres composed specifically for this unprecedented setup. Featured artists include Angela McArthur, Aaron Einbond, dushume, and Emma Margetson, alongside new works by artist residency commission awardees Kat Pegler and Lara Weaver, with additional contributors to be announced. Together, these artists explore the creative potential of the IKO loudspeaker system, pushing the boundaries of composition, performance, and spatial listening.

This event is part of the SOUND/IMAGE Research Centre (University of Greenwich) 2025-2026 Loudspeaker Orchestra Concert Series.

In collaboration with UCL and City St George’s.
