A celebration of music and spoken word shaped by migration – brought together by courageous creative talents for Refugee Week.

Fri 26 Jun 2026, 7.30pm. Royal Festival Hall, Southbank Centre. Tickets from £22

Join an inspiring evening of music and spoken word with community and solidarity at its heart. Curated by musician Anoushka Shankar and Counterpoints Arts, the lineup includes: London Contemporary Orchestra and Robert Ames, Nai Barghouti, Nadine Shah, Nikita Gill, Salena Godden, Seckou Keita, MoYah, Nectar Woode, Inua Ellams, Nish Kumar & more tbc.

Featuring artists with lived experience of displacement, musicians with migrant heritage and high-profile allies in the fight for justice and equality, It Sounds Like Courage is a night to imagine new possibilities together, with community and solidarity at its centre.

This event sits at the heart of Refugee Week’s programme of events and is presented by Southbank Centre in partnership with Counterpoints.
