Celebrate Make Music Day with our CoMA Manchester ensemble by playing some new pieces from CoMA’s newest collection, immediate pieces: scores to pick up and play.
CoMA’s immediate pieces anthology is a collection of music by contemporary composers where every piece is designed to be suitable for any instrument and easy enough that you can just dive straight in and play. Some pieces are written as notes, others as text instructions and some are pictures.
The day will be led by pianist and conductor Adam Swayne. So come along, have fun and discover some new music!
The day is open to players of all abilities and all types of instruments aged 14+.
Please bring your own instrument. A piano will be available. If you require percussion, amplification or anything else in order to take part, please contact Francesca by emailing francesca@coma.org.
An ability to read standard 5-line notation is not a requirement and we will use a mixture of notated, graphic and text-based scores. If you require music/written material to be available in a specific format (e.g. large print, braille, printed on coloured paper etc), please contact Francesca at francesca@coma.org.
